My Husband Said He’s Moving Out
You asked for a testimonial from me and I am happy to provide one:
I signed up for the Marriage Fitness program in the Lone Ranger track. My husband, after nearly thirty years together, told me he was no longer happy in the marriage and ‘wanted out‘. Only someone who has experienced this would understand the shock and pain this kind of situation creates. I did everything I could think of to change his mind, and for some brief moments, I believed I had succeeded, only to have my heart broken again and again. After six months I gave up hope, bought a condo and moved out. I was convinced he was going to move out if I didn’t, and the idea of living alone in our family home was more than I could bear.
Things got worse after I moved out. he wanted to be ‘friends’ and I wanted to curl up and die. Our children, adults themselves, were damaged by our breakup. Other family members were upset, and our friends were confused and feeling awkward. I felt like I was living in a nightmare that I couldn’t wake up from. That’s when I searched the internet for help and found Mort and his Marriage Fitness Program.
My Husband And I Were Constantly Arguing
My relationship with my husband started to change after the first tele-seminar. Mort made me realize I was behaving contrary to what I was wanting and feeling … After that, instead of arguing with him, I took Morts advice and put our issues aside. I practiced behaviors that I learned in the Marriage fitness program and my husband and I became closer. Instead of being combative, we started to enjoy each others company again.
We Are Finally Reconciling Our Marriage
Currently, my husband and I are working toward a complete reconciliation. The process is sometimes very difficult and I have to admit, I backslide sometimes. Mort warns that it won’t be easy, and he wasn’t kidding! Rebuilding trust is very difficult, but I believe my marriage is worth the pain and effort it’s going to take to save it. The best news is that my husband is now ‘on board’ and eager to reconcile!
Many times when I’ve felt hopeless, I receive an e-mail from Mort, or listen to a CD or a tele-seminar, and I feel my resolve return … The best advice I could offer anyone whose marriage is in trouble is to sign up for one of Morts Marriage fitness programs, and sooner rather than later. I waited almost 10 months before I sought help and finally signed up, and during that time I made some decisions that only made things worse. Had I signed up sooner, I could have saved myself a lot of grief …
