How to Renew a Marriage
A Simple Step toward Marriage Renewal
People
have
marveled at the beauty and mystery of sun rises and
sun sets for thousands of years. And based on the number of times
they’re
included in love poetry and Hollywood screenplays, it’s
obvious they have a
romantic quality as well.
Sun
rises and sun sets are one of those too often overlooked
wonders. Sometimes we’ll travel so far and/or spend so much
money to find or
create beauty, but nothing compares the beauty that graces the horizon
twice
daily (no matter where we are).
I
remember when my wife and I traveled around the world in 1995
(obviously long before the 5
munchkins came along). We went to the most remote
corners of Southeast Asia where the scenery was indescribably
picturesque. I
would regularly wake up early and write in my journal while I watched
the sun
rise over the rise patties. What a way to start a day!
Later
each day, my wife and I would often take in the sun set.
It was so beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. I really believe that
simply
watching the sun set together helped our relationship.
You
can probably guess what I'm going to suggest to help you renew your marriage. Pick a day
and a spot, and enjoy a sun rise or a sun set together. This is so easy
to do.
You don’t have to go far. It doesn’t take much
time. But it’s sure to bring
some peace and beauty to your marriage renewal process for the week.
